Before / After using airbrush tanning

About Me

Take me to the top

I'm a professionally trained airbrush specialist with extensive experience. My services are provided at your home, office, hotel or wherever you like.
I use only the best airbrush equipment and apply a tanning solution that contains DHA and an assortment of natural skin moisturizers help to prevent dry itchy skin.
Using my airbrush I will apply the solution evenly with no streaking, yellowing, or oranging. The whole process should take less than 20 minutes and results in a perfect looking tan that will last 5-10 days!

Exactly what do you spray on me ?
A solution that contains a blend of tanning agents and balancers, including DHA and Erythrulose which produces a smooth, natural looking tan. Aloe, amino acids, and moisturizers soothe your skin, leaving it renewed, hydrated, and refreshed. The solution’s silky feel and fresh scent adds to the tanning experience. The bronzer in the solution gives you an immediate tan, but the DHA is the actual ingredient that reacts with your skin which darkens your tan over the next 8-12 hours. The reaction is non-toxic and skin safe, without the potential risks associated with UV exposure. The tan is temporary and will fade gradually over 5 to 10 days.

What is DHA?
Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) is a simple carbohydrate that reacts with the proteins in your skin which produces a brown “tan” which begins to form in about 2 to 3 hours. The tan continues to darken for approximately 8-12 hours. The result can be a quite pleasing dark tan. The tan is absolutely water-resistant and diminishes only as the dead cells of the stratum corneum flake off (exfoliation). DHA is the closest you can get to a tan from the sun - without the associated risks. DHA is considered the most effective sun-free tanning additive.

Is DHA Safe?
Yes! DHA has been approved for cosmetic use by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Canadian Health Ministry and most of the EU member nations. It is considered nontoxic and noncarcinogenic. Because DHA does not use the skin's melanocytes to make the skin a tan color it is recommended as a cosmetic disguising. DHA based Sunless tanning has been recommended by the Skin Cancer Organization, American Academy of Dermatology, Canadian Dermatology Association, The American Cancer Society and the American Medical Association.

How do I maintain the Tan?
To make the most of your tan, there are a few simple steps to follow.

Before Tanning
Exfoliate your body before the application. This is easily accomplished by rubbing a damp soapy face washer firmly over your skin when showering. Pay attention to rough skin areas like knees, elbows, ankles and the tops of your feet.

Do not apply moisturiser to your skin at this stage as doing this will reduce the final result. I also recommend that you don't wear any make-up. Wear attire suitable for tanning: I suggest a bikini for women and dark shorts for men.

After Tanning
Once your tan is applied, you must allow it to dry completely. I will ensure that your application is dry before you leave, but as a precaution, do not wet your skin for at least 5 hours after the tanning session. Showering the following morning is the best option.

I also recommend that you do not excercise or perspire excessively between the tanning and the showering phase. When showering some of the initial bronzer washes off.

Apply moisturiser twice daily after showering. This reduces the rate at which your skin exfoliates and will keep your tan looking better for longer.

Other considerations in maintaining your tan are to avoid long baths, hot spas and extended swimming sessions. Shorter sessions are preferable. Also avoid products designed to exfoliate your skin.
